Intro to 3d Design

Surface Manipulation

My inspiration for this piece was mid century design patterns. The clean angular lines of this movement are engaging to me. I enjoy the shadows cast by the folds and how the sides of the tiles will match up with each other to make a design in any orientation.

Space Divider

My inspiration for this design derived

from the art nouveau style. In my first prototypes the design was more geometric. As I navigated through the design process it gained a more organic nature. I intended to make the design feel free flowing and represent forms of nature.

Linear Frame

My inspiration for this design came from interactive sculpture. I see this piece being large enough to walk underneath and through. I wanted to keep the tetrahedron shapes recognizable and balanced. With this balance the piece is able to sit on all corners no matter how it is placed.
